How to find dead stock/unsold merchandise?
I always hear about people who find old overstock/dead stock/bulk (often vintage) items like stickers, stationery, jewelry, craft supplies, toys, and other cool stuff--however, they never really say where or how they came across them. Aside from looking in vintage stores and hoping for the best, does anybody know where to look for and how to obtain this kind of merchandise?

- Go to the place where they sell and buy stocks and ask for old running stocks, ie. TD Waterhouse,
- google "IMASD" I forget what it stands for exactly but its a listing of brokers and what each broker has etc.. i think there site is www.surplus.net Liquidation.com is another good resource if you prefer the auction enviroment. I think what you are looking for are surplus or salvage brokers. I know this is vague but I hope it helps.
- It depends on what you're looking for and how much. Some places have pallets and truckloads others have smaller lots (a dozen items or so) I have done pretty good at www.dollardays.com For craft supplies etc www.orientaltrading.com has pretty good prices and ideas Never tried this one but it came up in a search and might be worth a look http://www.alibaba.com/company/10685216.html Also in a search this one has BIG lots!! http://www.amlinc.com/customer-returns/all-in-one-department-store-loads-2.html Good luck hope you find what you're lookin for
- Have you thought of overstock.com? Here's a link: http://www.overstock.com/ We have a place here that buys and sells military surplus too. It's a shame you don't live closer to Idaho.
