Baby Toys . . .?

Ok so my friend has a niece who is turning 1 on sunday and i am going to the party with my nephew. My question it What on earth should i buy her it has to be $10.00 or less because well thats all the money I have and i don't think my mom will give me money for someone elses kid so if you could give me an idea on what to buy her. i have found some things but i don't really like them

1. Go to the dollar store and buy BOOKS! I just bought an Elmo counting book and a Big Bird learn your colors book. Both are nice quality. You can also buy a big bubble wand for one dollar and bubbles. The dollar store also has monkey and dinosaur children's plates, bowls, and cups. Super cute! Put the gifts in a dollar store gift bag and you're all set for the party:)
2. Two words for you: DOLLAR STORE..... They have some GREAT stuff for toddlers! I get my son a lot of things from there and he's 10 months!
3. Soft blocks, books, musical books, dolls.
4. I agree about the books from the dollar store, they are really good, or maybe bubbles. Or you could buy a plastic ball they are about 1-3 dollars depending on where you shop all kids love balls.
