Where can I buy craft kits for a child's birthday party? My daughter's 12th birthday is coming up, and she wants to do a craft. I've spent days looking online for group craft kits and can't seem to have any luck. The items I'm finding withtin my price range seem cheap or boring. I need a kit that will make at least 8 to 10 of whatever it is, not just one or two. They've already done photo frame craft kits and jewelry craft kits at other birthday parties, so I want something different and fun, a little challenging, something with variety, so they can personalize and individualize it with their own colors and ideas, but nothing outrageously expensive. I've already dumped a bunch of money into the goodie bags, now that she's older and doesn't like the cheap stupid carnival stuff anymore! HELP! Thank you all for your great suggestions! I can't pick just one best answer, so I'll let you all decide! I, too, have been using Oriental Trading for years, but my daughter doesn't seem interested in any of those crafts anymore. Do you remember a soap craft? In the 70s i remember my mother made some kind of soap sequin thing with a craft kit.I remember it had little pins and you stuck them in the sequins in a pattern or all over it.I remember her doing this with several different soaps and brands.It was a basically a nice smelling decoration.Has anyone heard of this? Social Action Project! Where can I donate craft-like toys (stuffed animals mostly) for needy or sick children? I am coordinating an activity to give back to the community for my youth group. What is the name of this craft? Last year, I went to a craft fair-type thing and bought a craft kit. It included fabric and a piece of foam and a knife thing. The foam had a bunch of lines, and you would tuck the fabric into certain lines following a pattern. Does anyone know what that type of craft is called? Setting up own craft company for kids - question ....? I am in the process of putting some good quality craft kits together for sale on the internet - aims at kids. The content of the kits is good quality but my packaging policy is that I spend money on the contents, rather than a nice, glossy box. The price will be at the upper end of the market, but will be things the kids can make and keep (ie. they have a use). The packaging is made from recycled material with a printed lid - it's attractive but quite basic. Personally, as a mum I hate buying craft kits for the kids in these glossy boxes that make the contents look great, when in reality, once opened are pretty disappointing. I never buy them again. Will people buy them from the internet. The cover is tastefully designed, but like I say, not glossy with photos etc. I will put the contents on the internet so people will know what they are buying. Would you buy these?Thoughts please.

Looking for a craft kit for an assemble-yourself footstool with woven raffia top.? When my handicapped son was in the Boy Scouts in the 1960s, he made a footstool from a kit. Wooden precut pieces assembled into an open-top stool, and material was provided to weave the top - a kind of raffia-like material. What is the name of an old arts and craft activity where you melt colored beeds into a frame resembling glass? I used to do these things in the early eighties and was wondering if the still exist. The kit would normally come with a frame (the one I found has a butterfly) and different sets of colored beeds. The end results looks sort of like a plastic version of stained glass.

A bowl making craft kit.? A long time ago I bought a kit that you could make these really cool decorative bowel out of. It had these little (I'm assuming plastic) beads that you melted in a pie pan in the oven. After they melted into a solid disc, you put it into cold water for a few seconds and popped the disc out of the pan. Next you put them over an oven safe object (like a bowl) and melted them for about 5 minutes. That was just enough time to make them mold to the shape of the object without dripping all over your oven. You then removed it from the object and you had another object the same shape as the first (in my case a really cool bowl)! I recently found some of the beads from a refill kit I must of ordered and forgot, but I no longer have the box of directions. So can anyone tell me the name of this product, so I can look the directions up and maybe buy another refill kit to make more bowls??
