What craft can i do with cardboard boxes(that doesnt look like childrens crafts)? Are there are craft to do with cardboard boxes?I was thinking maybe decoupage but is there way to make the boxes more solid like real wood boxes if that makes sense? How do I stop making excuses for every creative idea I have and persevere? I seem to get motivated and ambitious when I have a creative idea. I start working on it, get more excited. Then an explosion of excuses overcome my thoughts. I've started a childrens story, I can't finish it, I have the ideas, but now I think no one will like it,even though my family and friends do, I don't know where to publish it, that is without paying a reading fee, so I just gave up. I've created and designed a bracelet, everyone likes it, I even tried a craft show, I got comments like "I've never seen anything like this before, thats fancy, thats beautiful", but I only sold one, they where only $5 each, what's up with that, it was a rainy day but still. Now I don't feel like spending $30 to $40 on a table at a craft show. I keep losing my perseverance and excitement. I don't know how to change my thinking and be more productive. Help.

Ideas for an end of year preschool concert.? I've started work in a preschool which primarily consists of disadvantaged children. It's my job this year to arrange the concert. The concerts in the past have not been very well organised. Most children at the preschool have never seen a live peformance let alone performed in one. Does anyone know a supplier for small coin purse frames? I would like to make some small coin purses using infant and childrens socks. Double Customs Confiscation at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas (IAH)? Early this month, my wife and I arrived in George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas (IAH) from our vacation.  We declared some "commercial merchandise" on US Customs Form 6059b. Those goods are samples and articles for sale (childrens toys and accessories). I have a small bookstore in our hometown. We estimated the "total value of all goods" was less than a $1000 for both of us. My wife bought several replica handbags on our trip for her friends in the US. When the customs officers (at least three officers) searched our luggages, they didn't believe those handbags are personal items. They also said they look like the real, brand-name bags that cost easily over $2000. We gave them the receipts that show the purchase prices in foreign currency. They totaled the prices, and converted the total to US Dollar. Still, they didn't believe they cost less than $500. They said our luggages would be shipped to our hometown, and we needed a customs broker to clear our commercial merchandise. They also said they tried to contact our airlines (Singapore Airlines) office in Houston to get the proper forms, but could not reach anyone. A week later we went back to Houston and stopped by SQ cargo and Houston Customs (CBP) with a detailed list of all the goods that we purchased on our vacation. We talked to a CBP officer in the front office, and showed him the list. He said he would personally open our luggages and destroy anything improper or not labeled correctly. I signed a form saying it's OK for him to do so. About three weeks later, the same CBP officer called me, and said our luggages are cleared and ready for pickup. We went back to SQ cargo to pick up our luggages. When we got home, my wife found out her personal items were taken in the second round of confiscation: . Several replica ladies handbags, . One new ladies watch she bought at Macy's in Texas before our vacation, . Several new ladies scarfs, and . One new table runner. I was fortunate none of my personal belongings (books, medicines, food, etc.) were taken in the second round of confiscation. Also none of childrens merchandise (stickers, toys, arts and crafts, etc.) for my bookstore were taken. In retrospect, IAH CBP cost us much time and money by prolonging this ordeal for about a month when they could have confiscated the ladies handbags in the first round of confiscation on the day of our arrival. We clearly told the CBP officers they were replica handbags, and we showed them their sales receipts as proofs. However, they chose to ignore our claims and sales receipts, and asked us to get a customs broker to clear our goods instead. Our mistake was that we brought the ladies handbags to IAH with us, and we did not ask the CBP officers to take and destroy them in the first round of confiscation. What would you have done in this situation?

Space theme for term project? Hey everyone. I have got about 4books & tons of infomation for the space theme that I am doing next term with the kids that I teach. Shoul I be a teacher? Since my first year in high school I have wanted to become a Teacher. I adore and care alot about children and I would really love to see them learn something from me. I live in Philadelphia and recently our PSSA scores rose for the 5th year in a row which really made me happy and proud of the childrens accomplishments. I used to work at a library were I assisted children with homework and crafts. Since I told my parents that I wanted to become a teacher they have been trying to get me to change my mind by saying" Teachers make no money" instead of supporting me in my career goals. I want to take their advice but at the same time I want to be a Teacher. Please help cuz I do not know wat to do!!!! P.S- I know teaching pays low but I have a passion to help kids.

Please Help this teacher!? Hired recently for an art enrichment teacher at an after school program, I need ideas on what kind of crafts and suggestions that you can pose to keep children between the ages of six and twelve busy. I really need ideas. Are there any websites that show craft/artsy things and what can i do on my own. I am very creative and desiring to expand these childrens minds with their own hidden artistic talents. The more answers the better! Please help.

sell baby clothes??? Do you guys have any suggestions of places or smaller companies where I can sell baby clothes that I handmake? I have been looking online for craft bazaars/church bazaars and smaller childrens boutiques, but I am not having alot of luck. I have also inquired with Baby magazines, but to advertise is really expensive and I don't want to go that deep in the hole until I actually start making some money... I need Halloween Party Ideas for young toddlers/babies...got any? My son is 2 1/2 years old and we will be having a halloween party for him this year. There will be a couple other kids invited from the age of 8 months to 4 years old. So I will need some ideas for games, food to eat (that would work for the mommies too). I have a couple ideas already: decorating pumpkins, I will have them decorate little paper bags with the halloween foam stickers and then I will have a pinata for them to play with, then have them use the bags they decorated to put the candy from the pinata in, decorate cupcakes/eat them, also put childrens halloween music on and have them dance around while playing with balloons. I was also thinking of maybe having a pumpkin scavenger hunt where they will have to find their pumpkin in order to be able to decorate it......as far as the food is concerned, they will have the cupcakes for a treat, I was thinking maybe of ordering pizza for lunch, and also maybe have apples and carmel dip...and some halloween cookies, the pudding and worms to be the play dirt/mud for snacks.... Now I will be having the party during the day for a couple hours. Its only going to be about 6 kids total(including mine) and then 4-5 adults...........so please give me your ideas...i want this to be alot of fun for my son and his friends...and remember its for young toddlers. think food, games, crafts, etc

childrens game/craft/song ideas? k, so im doin this summer camp for 2 weeks and in both weeks, we hav to plan our 'time to shine' which is when we lead an activity. th only thing is our theme for this week is future week and i hav no ideas on wht to do, and i hav tried to think so dont just think im lazy or a slacker, cuz im not . th age range is from 4-7ish and it has to involve lots of kids. thanx, this will really help me out. :)

Children's 1st time book author "hopeful" needs help before even getting started.? My 1st time childrens story book draft is about ready for submission to be printed. I'm not using the services of a literary agent. I will be making arrangements for an indepedant publisher to print my book. I will be acting as my own agent and distributor with in my own state. My book includes additional "tie-ins" in the form of small activity kits. Each kit will have 6-10 seperate items to complete the activites 3 or 4 times over as desired. My problem is ...I am now ready to contact suppliers who can meet my requirements but I don't know where to start looking. I need names, addresses and web sites of such manufactures and suppliers who can do this type work. My book is about arts and crafts for preschoolers and includes 4-6 small prepackaged kits all contained (including my book) in a clear plastic snap open box for parents to help their child in a fun an enjoyable activity. While pre-packaging is not new my story book is. Your help is appreciated.
