What are the best baby toys? I have a 6 month old baby boy and am starting to look more at toys, since he is becoming more interested in them. There are so many toys on the market and every one I see, I think "Oh, how cute...I'd love to get that!" Of course, I can't afford tons of toys for my son, nor would I want to get him every toy imaginable. So, my question is...What have you found to be the best toys for children ages 0-2? I love fun toys that are also learning tools, and toys that will last him a while would also be a plus!

Best toy to aid baby in standing and cruising, and learn how to walk? My baby is standing and cruising, but she doesn't have anything to hold on to except me when I am lying on the floor and playing with her. what do you think the best baby 'toy' is? or anything to do with baby? i think mine would have to be a walker. i didn't want to buy one, because i didn't think Reece would get that much use out of it, so my dad gave me my little brothers from a few years ago. Reece loves it and is only out of it when sleeping, or getting his nappy changed! it has a plastic tray, with no attached bits, so he can eat his dinner in it! (just started self weaning) and his toys sit on it, when he isn't throwing them about. he loves the fact he can scoot after me so much quicker than crawling! i feel inadequate, when i play with him now, he squirms to get int the bloomin walker! baby berry we have that baby einsteins mat! he loved the star too! but the music was very quiet! a lot of things aren't recommended. i used a walker as did all of my family and everyone else i know of. none have bow legs or anything. infact, i have many gymnastics and athletics awards, played football for my school team, and my brother plays for Ards rangers. plus i asked my Dr and she said it was fine to use them

how do i get my yorkie to realize that baby toys are not his toys? so we're due in march but i'm already getting a lot of baby toys from ppl. problem is, yorkie over here thinks the toys are his and he yelps, barks and jumps up to get them. he wont' leave us alone unless we hide the toys. How can you safely and effectively surface clean baby toys without ruining them? Why do people clean their baby's toys with harsh chemicals like bleach? I just think it's overkill. I spray some Simple Green on a wet cloth and wipe down all my daughter's toys.
